Ben is an Aboriginal leader, educator, health worker and performance facilitator with more than 15 years’ experience working across Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. His unconventional career pathway, including experience as a professional athlete, has shaped his innovative approach to problem-solving, leadership and community development. Through roles as volunteer, facilitator, manager, executive, CEO, board member and mentor, Ben has worked across education pathways, mentoring, healthy lifestyles, culture, business and innovation. He is the founder of Shared Path Corporation, an Indigenous organisation focused on creating practical pathways for employment, enterprise and self-determination. Shared Path has delivered major initiatives including Connected Beginnings and Start Them Early, in partnership with the Commonwealth Department of Education and Training. Ben is also driving the Blak Tek Project, supporting Aboriginal communities to build digital skills, access future opportunities and strengthen cultural, economic and community outcomes.
