Sarah Johnson

Educational Leader, Consultant & Author

Sarah is an experienced educational leader, consultant, and author with over two decades of expertise in emotional well-being, behaviour, and systems change in education. With a career spanning mainstream schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Alternative Provision (AP), and psychiatric in-patient services, Sarah has developed a deep understanding of how to create inclusive, nurturing environments where all children can thrive.

A passionate advocate for systemic change, Sarah has worked extensively with Local Authorities and the Department for Education, influencing policy and practice to better support vulnerable learners. She is known for her pragmatic and compassionate approach to behaviour, focusing on fostering belonging and well-being as the foundation for positive outcomes.

What I Offer

I provide practical training, workshops and resources to help children manage anxiety and become stronger, more confident learners — and to help the adults around them understand how to support this.

For Teachers and School Staff: Hands-on training on recognising anxiety in learners and understanding what it looks like in the classroom. Practical strategies you can use straight away to help children feel safe, regulate their emotions and engage with learning.

For Parents and Carers: Accessible sessions that explain what anxiety is, how it shows up in children, and simple things you can do at home to help your child feel calmer and more in control.

For Children and Young People: Age-appropriate activities and approaches that help children understand their own feelings, recognise when they are anxious, and develop tools to manage it.
